White Strand in Abbeyside

Have just finished painting in oils, it's of Barnawee Strand or the White Strand in Abbeyside, with the Knockmealdowns behind it.  Much happier with it now. Will post it up on main gallery page.
Cycled down to get a better look at the light and did watercolour sketches of it.  A camera is great but doesn't do the same trick as an actual sketch.

Waiting for the Weather

down on the lookout, got fed up with looking at the grey sea once the sun had disappeared so turned to my left and started painting Rose! so much fun drawing and painting people and having to do it quickly before the rain starts.

The Fun of Watercolours

Have just uploaded new pictures to my website.  I'm now finished with the course and am getting back in to painting en plein air, enjoying using watercolours again and getting outside.  Watercolours are so different to oils and acrylics, it's the opposite approach and I'd forgotten how fun it can be.

Nearing the end of the course

I'm nearing the end of the course I've been doing in the past year in Colaiste Chathail Naofa and it's been great. Am going to miss it. The project I've been working on has evolved from seaweed to frog spawn to eyes on to fractals and planets and all things interesting. this is me in my space.
